Human-in-the-Loop Auditory Cueing Strategy for Gait Modification

External feedback in the form of visual, auditory and tactile cues has been used to assist patients overcome mobility challenges. However, these can become less effective over time. There is limited research on adapting account for inter intra-personal variations cue responsiveness. We propose a cue-provision framework that consists gait performance monitoring algorithm an adaptive cueing strategy improve performance. The proposed approach learns model person's response using Gaussian Process regression. then within on-line optimization generate conduct study with healthy participants evaluate ability influence human gait, compare its effectiveness two other approaches: standard fixed proportional approach. results show more changing state once learned compared methods.
